Shaddy! Long time no talk. Your art man, its looking… just …. awesome. As do I, you have long mentioned your respect for Jamie Jones’ work, and your edge control and confident strokes done looking at Jamie is bringing you into an upper echelon of your own. I know you know this but I could not NOT say it.

In the steps between 3 to 5, where you lay down tonal detail, color, and then bring it all together, how do you maintain the photographic integrity from step 3 after bringing it to color? I keep to my brushes, custom shapes, and maybe a lighten, darken, and overlay layer, mostly painting over photos after i filter-> cutout. What do you do? Is it worthwhile to venture into the hardlight, pinlight, luminance etc.? Any help would be much appreciated. Take care
